# Governance ### **How will the** UNITS DAO **mechanism work?** The UNIT token is the UNITS DAO protocol governance token, UNIT token holders will be the decision makers for the UNITS DAO protocol Echo System. The Units DAO protocol governance is based on a snapshot system, the community will raise proposals and control the direction of the ecosystem as the project progresses. All decisions and processes will always be fully transparent to the whole community.
